CLUB UPDATE........
AFL CODE OF CONDUCT & SMOKING LEGISLATION....
Our 2013 season is just about to start and the Lions are getting ready for a great year. Registrations have been very strong and we are looking to field 8 teams this year and AusKick numbers are growing every day.
Our pre season training on a Tuesday night is going well - soon teams will be announced and we will move to our home ground, DUKES OVAL for regular training.
With the start of the season just a few weeks away it is important that all players, parents, family and supporters read and become familiar with the AFL’s Code of Conduct. Please read the attached ‘code of conduct’ and discuss it with all players.
Our club is committed to making sure all players enjoy their football in a fun and safe environment. In March players will be given a code of conduct, all players are to have a signed copy of the AFL Code of Conduct returned to their coach before they take the field for their first game. Our first trail game is Saturday 23rd March.
From 7th January 2013, smoking is banned in spectator and playing areas at all public sports grounds and training areas as per current legislation set by the NSW Health Department.
