Round 1: Saturday 2nd April 2011
U/16 Hawkesbury Saints (Division One) vs Razorbacks at Bargo Showground 11.00am.
The U/16's began todays challenge undermanned, 13 players some of which backing up from the 14's, a side plagued with injury and illness against the competitions best. On paper the Razorbacks should have cruised in todays challenge, certainly not the case Hawkesbury Juniors excelling and leading the contest midway through the second term. Some stand-out performances Jesse Cass having flashes of brilliance, Brendan Vielhauer consistent at centre, Hayden Barlow's defence inspiring while Liam Viegel like a block of concrete at Back flank. Impressive too Luke Winters returning to the code after a lengthy abscence contributing with a nice shot on goal and Hayden wassall confidence getting a shot in the arm kicking two majors, those may remember Hayden had a serious break last year and having his first run back against the competition favorites. Lets not forget our fourteens, Joshua Edwards kicking two majors and jayden cass contributing in the back line. Lots of positives today certainly a team that will win games this season, my forecast finals footy for this group most certainly, definatly earning much respect today from worthy opponents. Razorbacks coach Shuan even commenting on our teams performance today. Well Done.

ROUND 3 - Saturday 30th April 2011
U/16 Hawkesbury Saints (Division 1) 11.13.80 def by Penrith 12.16.88
This game an absolute nail biter against a full strength Penrith outfit. 3 weeks of wet weather, no training, no games, match fitness the difference in the end, brave effort from a team under-sized displaying plenty of heart from an appreciative Hawkesbury crowd.
The first quarter it was Penrith out two a four goal advantage but like any champion side Hawkesbury came back at them in the second term to take a three goal lead at half time. The third again Penrith taking the lead, the final term hard working mid fielders giving their all just nothing left in the tank, thks to the 14’s who backed up, great games from all
Best players:: Nick Edwards, Jesse Cass, Riley Staraj, Brendan Vielhauer, Hayden Barlow, Michael Jones and Liam Viegel.

Round 4 - Saturday 7th May 2011
U/16 Hawkesbury Saints (Division 1) 26.10.166 def Quakers Hill2.1.13
Record breaking win today, the Saints unstoppable, a dominating midfield the normal trio plus one, Jesse Cass, Hayden Barlow, Nick Edwards and Brendan Vielhauer terrific creating many inside 50 opportunities aided by Riley Staraj backing up from the 14's in the ruck.
The return of both Justin Baker with a best on ground performance and Adam Braid after injury kicking 7 majors adding strength, Kieran Lapidge at centre half forward contributing with 3 and small roving forwards all making a mark on the scoreboard at some point in the game
A backline deserving special mention too, Liam Viegal, Luke Winters and others, Quakers unable to penetrate our defence.

Swans vs Collingwood half time Auskick 25th June 2011
As mentioned at previous meetings we had a second allocation for our half time Auskick experience at the Swans V Collingwood match at ANZ stadium on the 25th of June. The game was 7:10pm and I am just waiting on the parent letter to be issued by the AFL. Each club received 9 children tickets and 11 adult passes (that's one adult per child and 2 extra for coordinator and coach).
As always the club encourages clubs to use this as a incentive to get parents to help or to recruit new kids to the game. Please designate the specific children as soon as possible and i will send further details in the form of a letter for you to distribute closer to the date, the letter will have all the details required eg. Where to meet, what time and what to bring and how to purchase more tickets.
Thanks guys, and please confirm your attendance with me ASAP.
We will be there with Magpie bells on thanks Mate.
